I will be attending a seminar on managing employees. There are huge responsibilities for employers. Ignorance is no excuse. I have seen every honest hard working business owners loose a lot of money because they were ignorant of the processes required with employees.
It is so important that an employer has diary notes recording incidents or disciplinary situations, and that these employers follow the process to the latter.
The responsibility is on the employer to get everything right. From personal experience it is quite difficult to get information on the correct process to follow. I am sure others have tried to get the correct information from the tax office or fair work. This information is often quite vague, and can be quite difficult to source even for the professionals.
